Come Sit a While.
The front porch has always been where real life happens.
Before air conditioning. Before screens. Before everyone had somewhere more important to be — there was the front porch.
It's where neighbors slowed down long enough to become friends. Where stories got told, retold, and embellished just enough to be worth repeating. Where a cup of coffee and a good biscuit meant you didn't have to be anywhere else for a while.
"Nobody ever rushed through a front porch conversation."
That's what we had in mind when we built Bread & Butter. Not a café where you grab and go. A place where you land. Where the food is the kind, your grandmother made on a Sunday when she had time to do it right. Where the coffee is strong, the chairs are comfortable, and nobody gives you a look if you're still sitting there an hour later.
We named it Bread & Butter because those are the things that matter most — simple, honest, made with care. Not fancy. Just good. The kind of good that makes you close your eyes for a second when you take the first bite.
People tell us we remind them of a front porch. We take that as the highest compliment there is.
Because a front porch is never just a porch. It's an invitation. It's a slow morning made better. It's proof that the most important things in life don't need to be rushed.
Pull up a chair. The coffee's on.
